Here's a little rhyme written by Crystal C. A
Spence ~~> Until you get right, than you'll see the Light! When you give Jesus
your heart, it will be a brand new start. Just as the sky is blue, God's word is
true! Jesus gives life but the devil is always in strife! When the devil tells
you a lie or says give this a try, Just PASS him by! The devil wants you to sway
but Jesus is the only way!!
Have you ever been in a VERY DARK room with
no LIGHT what so ever? In that dark room you can't see anything at all. But if
you light a match or a lighter you can see the DARKNESS flee from you! This is a
PICTURE of a CHRISTIAN in a place that is ruled by SATAN! When you bring your
LIGHT to the places in the world that darkness rules, as you step towards the
darkness it has to FLEE FROM YOU!
~Shawn P. Sherrill
Give me your eyes, eyes to see, see what you
see, see your people.
Give me your ears, ears to hear, hear the cries, cries of your people.
Give me your voice, voice to teach, teach & reach, reach your people.
Give me your heart, heart full of love, love & compassion, compassion for your
people.
Give me your hands, hands that touch, touch & heal, heal your people.

The SON
This is great, take a moment to read it, it will make your day! The ending will
surprise you.
Take my Son
A wealthy man and his son loved to collect rare works of art. They had
everything in their collection, from Picasso to Raphael. They would often sit
together and admire the great works of art.
When the Vietnam conflict broke out, the son went to war. He was very courageous
and died in battle while rescuing another soldier. The father was notified and
grieved deeply for his only son.
About a month later, just before Christmas, there was a knock at the door. A
young man stood at the door with a large package in his hands.
He said, 'Sir, you don't know me, but I am the soldier for whom your son gave
his life.. He saved many lives that day, and he was carrying me to safety when a
bullet struck him in the heart and he died instantly. He often talked about you,
and your love for art.' The young man held out this package. 'I know this isn't
much. I'm not really a great artist, but I think your son would have wanted you
to have this.'
The father opened the package. It was a portrait of his son, painted by the
young man. He stared in awe at the way the soldier had captured the personality
of his son in the painting. The father was so drawn to the eyes that his own
eyes welled up with tears. He thanked the young man and offered to pay him for
the picture. 'Oh, no sir, I could never repay what your son did for me. It's a
gift.'
The father hung the portrait over his
mantle. Every time visitors came to his home he took them to see the portrait of
his son before he showed them any of the other great works he had collected.
The man died a few months later. There was to be a great auction of his
paintings. Many influential people gathered, excited over seeing the great
paintings and having an opportunity to purchase one for their collection.
On the platform sat the painting of the son. The auctioneer pounded his gavel.
'We will start the bidding with this picture of the son. Who will bid for this
picture?'
There was silence.
Then a voice in the back of the room shouted, 'We want to see the famous
paintings. Skip this one.'
But the auctioneer persisted. 'Will somebody bid for this painting? Who will
start the bidding? $100, $200?'
Another voice angrily. 'We didn't come to see this painting. We came to see the
Van Gogh's, the Rembrandts. Get on with the real bids!' But still the auctioneer
continued. 'The son! The son! Who'll take the son?'
Finally, a voice came from the very back of the room. It was the long time
gardener of the man and his son. 'I'll give $10 for the painting.' Being a poor
man, it was all he could afford.
'We have $10, who will bid $20?' 'Give it to him for $10. Let's see the
masters.'
The crowd was becoming angry. They didn't want the picture of the son. They
wanted the more worthy investments for their collections.
The auctioneer pounded the gavel. 'Going once, twice, SOLD for $10!'
A man sitting on the second row shouted, 'Now let's get on with the collection!'
The auctioneer laid down his gavel. 'I'm sorry, the auction is over.'
'What about the paintings?'
'I am sorry. When I was called to conduct this auction, I was told of a secret
stipulation in the will. I was not allowed to reveal that stipulation until this
time. Only the painting of the son would be auctioned.. Whoever bought that
painting would inherit the entire estate, including the paintings.
The man who took the son gets everything!'
God gave His son 2,000 years ago to die on the cross. Much like the auctioneer,
His message today is: 'The son, the son, who'll take the son?'
Because, you see, whoever takes the Son gets everything.

I
Believe....
That just because two people argue, that
doesn't mean they don't love each other.
And just because they don't argue, that
doesn't mean they do love each other.
I Believe...
That sometimes when I'm angry I have the right to be angry,
but that doesn't give me the right to be cruel.
I Believe...
That we don't have to change friends if
we understand that friends change.
I Believe...
That no matter how good a friend is, they're going to hurt you every once in a
while and you must forgive them for that.
I Believe...
That true friendship continues to grow, even over the longest distance.
Same
goes for true love.
I Believe......
That you can do something in an instant
that will give you heartache for life.
I Believe...
That it's taking me a long time
to become the person I want to be.
I Believe...
That you should always leave loved ones with
loving words. It may be the last time you see them.
I Believe......
That you can keep going long after you think you can't.
I Believe...
That we are responsible for what
we do, no matter how we feel.
I Believe...
That either you control your attitude or it controls you.
I Believe...
That heroes are the people who do what has to be done when it needs to be done,
regardless of the consequences...
I
Believe...
That money is a lousy way of keeping score.
I Believe....
That my best friend and I can do anything, or nothing, and have the best time.
I Believe...
That sometimes the people you expect to kick you
When you're down will be the ones to help you get back up..
I Believe...
That maturity has more to do with what types of experiences you've had,
and what you've learned from them...and less to do with how many
birthdays you've celebrated.
I Believe.....
That it isn't always enough to be forgiven by others.
Sometimes, you have to learn to forgive yourself.
I
Believe...
That no matter how bad your heart is broken the world doesn't stop for your
grief.
I Believe...
That our background and circumstances may have influenced who we are,
but we are responsible for who we become.
I Believe...
That you shouldn't be so eager to find
out a secret. It could change your life forever.
I Believe....
Two people can look at the exact same
thing and see something totally different.
I Believe...
That your life can be changed in a matter of
hours by people who don't even know you.
I Believe...
That even when you think you have no more to give, if
a friend cries out to you...you will find the strength to help.
I Believe...
That credentials on the wall do not make you a decent human being.
I Believe...
That the people you care about most in life are taken from you too soon..
The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of
everything;
They just make the most of everything.
Thank you God for all the wonderful people who help us throughout the journey of
life...
RULES FROM GOD FOR THIS YEAR
1. Wake Up !!
Decide to have a good day. "Today is the day the Lord hath made; let us rejoice
and be glad in it."
Psalms 118:24
2. Dress Up !!
The best way to dress up is to put on a smile. A smile is an inexpensive way to
improve your looks.
"The Lord does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at outward
appearance; but the Lord looks at the heart."
I Samuel 16:7
3. Shut Up!!
Say nice things and learn to listen.
God gave us two ears and one mouth, so He must have meant for us to do twice as
much listening as talking. "He who guards his lips guards his soul."
Proverbs 13:3
4. Stand Up!!...
For what you believe in. Stand for something or you will fall for anything..
"Let us not be weary in doing good; for at the proper time, we will reap a
harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do
good..."
Galatians 6:9-10
5. Look Up !!...
To the Lord.
"I can do everything through Christ who strengthens me."
Philippians 4:13
6. Reach Up !!...
For something higher. "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not unto
your own understanding. In all your ways, acknowledge Him, and He will direct
your path."
Proverbs 3:5-6
7. Lift Up !!...
Your Prayers.
"Do not worry about anything; instead PRAY ABOUT EVERYTHING."
Philippians 4:6
KEEP THE FAITH AND BE ENCOURAGED
Faith …..
- Does not deny limitations, it defies them (Rom.
4:18-21).
- Does not call those things that are as though they are
not, it calls those things that be not as though they were (Rom.4:17).
- Does not avoid issues it addresses them (Mk. 11:23).
- Does not emphasize the problem it prophesies the
solution (Ez. 37:2-6; 1 Sam. 17:46-47).
- Is not blind, it sees the invisible (Heb. 11:1).
- Is not deaf, it listens to the still small voice (Rom.
10:17)
- In God will change your fate in life if you faint not in
heart (Luk. 18:1)!

CHRISTIAN BEAUTY
What makes a Christian Woman Beautiful is not
her outer garment, garb, or make up that she wears. What makes a Christian Woman
Beautiful are the following characteristics: First of all, it’s the Christ that
lives within them. Second, it’s the Joy, Peace, and Laughter that dwells within
them. Third, it’s their Passion and Zeal to serve the Lord with all their heart.
It’s their courage and strength of conviction to take on and conqueror any task
that has been set before them.
Mainly what makes a Christian Woman Beautiful is her ability to remain Humble,
Prayerful, and Powerful. It’s the Christ inside of her that breaks through, like
a Beacon of Light, and Hope. To all the people we come into contact with. Its
having a word for hurting people in need; both in and out of Season; Christian
Woman carry themselves with elegance and grace., Always making sure things are
done both decent and in order.
Where people can look at us and not only see and feel the love we carry inside
of us; but also feel our Savior’s love and to taste of his Grace. We are Living,
Breathing examples of Christ, whom we say we Represent: its in how we walk,
talk, treat others, and carry ourselves. Both in public and in private, each
day. We must be careful while running this Christian Race for there are people
in this World wanting us to fail and fall on our face. I am glad that the Beauty
God has given to his people is not temporal, so it will not fade away. Neither
will the word of God and his people who are coming up and out are here to stay.

A Prayer of Thanksgiving
My God, my God, how could I express the way I feel about you?
You are always there in my heart wherever I go.
You are always there to guide me in everything I do.
You are always by my side every time I need you.
Even though I don’t see you
but I feel your nearness;
I feel your wonderful love and protection.
You shower us with your blessings.
All my burdens are so light to carry because you help me through.
In the middle of my happiness, I think about you
and during my loneliness, I call upon you.
Thank you for the wonderful life that you have given to me.
You started loving me
from the day I was not even born.
You are my wonderful Lord and will stay in my heart forever.
In Jesus name, Amen

I have cancer, as such I know of
what I speak when I say, “With God, all negatives are really positives running
in the wrong direction.” Through cancer my testimony and walk with God where I
work has been greatly amplified. Through God’s grace in suffering, those who
doubted my sincerity no longer do. As one fellow employee put it, “Your
testimony has touched everyone.” So when you face those hard trials, remember,
somewhere in the shadows is a lost soul watching you, hoping that the God you
have testified of is real.
I would be hard pressed to believe
that anyone, who believes in anything, would not also believe that what he or
she believes in is the absolute truth. As such when I hear people say that
Christianity is a narrow-minded religion made up of intolerant bigots and
racists---I can only be amused. It would seem that such a person, in saying
such a thing, makes themselves guilty of the same crimes they accuse
Christianity of; after all, if what they believe is not narrow-minded and not
made up of intolerant bigots and racists, then what are they saying?
That life is comparable to a rollercoaster ride is very true. You come
barreling into this world after a shear drop. You and everyone around you go
screaming over hills, through valleys, and around hairpin curves. Where you
came from is history, where you’re going to is a mystery, but at the present,
you’re in hysterics. What do you do? Like anyone riding a real rollercoaster,
throw your hands in the air, only in this case, Praise God with all your might,
and enjoy the ride!
To be tempted is not a sin. To sin is not the end of the world. But to be
tempted not to go to God for forgiveness is worse then the sin; it shows lack of
faith in our Heavenly Father’s ability to forgive and to forget ALL our sins.
I don’t know about other men, but I
need a savior. If I’m viewed as weak due to that fact, then so be it. My need
is greater than their mockery of me. If a doctor should say to me take such and
such medication to live, and the whole world said that I was weak in doing so,
I’d take the medication anyway. I am sick spiritually and I need a savior to
save me from that sickness. Trusting in the Lord Jesus Christ heals me of that
sickness. It is better to live surrounded by laughter than to die in silence.
There are many paths in a forest and
many of them lead to the same place, a body of water. This is true for one
reason and that is because everything in the forest has to drink water to
survive. There are various denominations and Churches in Christianity with many
paths that lead back to the water of God the Bible. May we all drink deeply so
that we will love one another deeply.

The following was written by 12 year old Esther Barnes:
When One is Tickled – One is Loved
People always wonder why they cannot tickle themselves, but someone else can
tickle them.
The reason is if we could tickle ourselves we would not feel loved. We would
just feel lonely.
When a loved one tickles us we feel loved, and not lonely.
We all love to have someone love us, and to tickle one another, and to giggle
and talk to one another.
God made it so we could not tickle ourselves so that a loved one could tickle us
and make us feel loved.
Don’t try tickle yourself. It doesn’t work. Have a loved one tickle you so you
can feel loved.
Faith With God by You
Your faith is strong when you feel God’s presence
Your faith is strong when He calls for you.
When your faith is strong for God you feel nothing can touch you.
Faith is when we feel that God is near us no matter what happens.
Faith is near, you just have to grab it.
So have faith!
When you have faith God is with you, and holding you.
So hold onto the faith you have.

The following 2 messages that I wrote are very important for
everyone to hear - and in order to hear them, they must sink deep inside your
heart.
~ Mike Graz
~ A Message to the Rich People on Earth and/or to those who have not found the
purpose of life:
A Man cannot buy happiness even with all the riches of the Earth, Only God can
show you true happiness, because one day, when you're dead, wealth will not
matter, the only thing that will matter is if you can find your way to heaven,
the afterlife that brings happiness that lasts not 70 years...but for an
eternity...you can't find heaven on your own...you need a guide, and that guide
is god's son; Jesus, he will show you the way to God and true happiness.
The Point: You find happiness as soon as you find the guide that brings you to
the only place where happiness never ends.
~ A Message to those who cannot escape Temptation:
Jesus is a Guide, in fact he's the only guide that can show you the path to
Heaven...Once you find him, he will walk you step by step to the gates of
heaven...but do not walk astray in that walk...because if you lose your guide,
you're lost in the middle of nowhere, and fear steps in, when you're all by
yourself......You might get lost for a long time, but fear not, Jesus is always
looking for you......
The Point: Never lose sight of Jesus, because life is short....and you don't
want to be alone when time runs out, because then you are lost forever......So
Keep up or Wake up, and go and find him
Happiness keeps You Sweet,
Trials keep You Strong,
Sorrows keep You Human,
Failures keeps You Humble,
Success keeps You Glowing,
But Only God keeps You Going!
I am a thirteen year old girl in Canada and I have been
looking for a way to get people to read my poem in titled A Flower and Jesus.
I hope that you like my poem and can help me achieve my goal in getting my story
out.
A FLOWER AND JESUS
Have you really looked at a flower?
they come in different shapes and sizes,
They are all delicate,
And special in their own way.
God comes in different forms to speak to people,
And through these people are saved.
Jesus is delicate and also knows how to take command of his people,
Jesus made everyone special in their own way.
Have you really felt a flower?
It has a smooth texture,
It makes you feel happy when you touch a flower,
The petals bring you countless amounts of joy.
Jesus can talk smooth words of wisdom into your heart
So that you may not fall into the enemies trap.
When you listen to Jesus and when your life has been changed,
God can bring you countless amounts of joy.
Have you really smelt a flower?
Most flowers smell sweet and have a soothing smell,
For example the rose,
It is the best of all smelling flowers to me.
God is the sweetest being in heaven and always will be.
There is no one else like him in the heavens or earth,
And because of that I will praise him and him alone.
Jesus is like a rose.
He was born of a virgin Mary and he came into the world.
A rose must be planted by a seed then it will grow.
But God came to die for us to save us from our sins.
If a rose is trampled on the ground then it will die.
There is only one difference between a rose and Jesus,
And that is that a rose can not come back to life after it dies.
But Jesus can and he did!
If you have not yet accepted Jesus into you heart then do it now.
And you may blossom into the rose of Christ.
May you flourish among the other roses and be ready until someone comes to pick
you out!

God could have kept Daniel out of the lion's den...
He could have kept Paul and Silas out of jail...
He could have kept the three Hebrew children out of the fiery furnace...
But God has never promised to keep us out of hard places...
What He has promised is to go with us through every hard place, and to bring us
through Victoriously!
It's Spring Planting Time
Plant five rows of peas: preparedness, promptness, perseverance, politeness,
prayer.
Next, plant three rows of squash: squash gossip, squash criticism, squash
indifference.
Then plant five rows of lettuce: let us be faithful, let us be loyal, let us be
unselfish, let us love one another, let us be truthful.
No garden is complete without turnips: turn up for church, turn up with a smile,
turn up with a new idea, turn up with real determination.

God is not higher than you,
God is not lower than you,
He is your heavenly father!
So when, when people look down
upon you and frown then just turn
around and say to them,
I am not higher than you,
I am not lower than you,
I am your equal,
No matter how you look at it,
I AM your equal!
I don't like being alone,
I don't like being the fifth wheel,
I don't like feeling lonely in a crowd,
So I put my heels together and stand
up proud and strong and say to God
I love you for who you are!

A ball is a circle, no beginning, no end.
It keeps us together like our Circle of Friends.
But the treasure inside for you to see,
Is the treasure of friendship you've granted to me.
Today I pass the friendship ball to you.
If God had a refrigerator, your picture would be on it.
If He had a wallet, your photo would be in it.
He sends you flowers every spring.
He sends you a sunrise every morning.
Face it, friend - He really loves you!
I asked for Strength......And God gave me Difficulties to make me strong.
I asked for Wisdom......And God gave me Problems to solve.
I asked for Prosperity....And God gave me Brain and Brawn to work.
I asked for Courage......And God gave me Danger to overcome.
I asked for Love...........And God gave me Troubled people to help.
I asked for Favors.........And God gave me Opportunities.
I received nothing I wanted ........I received everything I needed!
I've begun looking for the small ways my faith is tested and welcoming them
for what they are: indicators that the Lord is working to change and refine me.
He cares enough not to give up on the potential He has put within me.
Mary Scott
I asked God to take away my habit.
God said, "No. It is not for me to take away, but for you to give it up."
I asked God to make my handicapped child whole.
God said, "No. His spirit is whole, his body is only temporary."
I asked God to grant me patience.
God said, "No. Patience is a byproduct of tribulations; it isn't granted, it is
learned."
I asked God to give me happiness.
God said, "No. I give you blessings; Happiness is up to you."
I asked God to spare me pain.
God said, "No. Suffering draws you apart from worldly cares and brings you
closer to me."
I asked God to make my spirit grow.
God said, "No. You must grow on your own, but I will prune you to make you
fruitful."
I asked God for all things that I might enjoy life.
God said, "No. I will give you life, so that you may enjoy all things."
I ask God to help me LOVE others, as much as He loves me.
God said ... "Ah, finally you have the idea."

Watch your actions; they become habits.
Watch your habits; they become character.
Watch your character; it becomes your destiny.

If the devil were to write his beatitudes, they would probably go something
like this:
- Blessed are those who are too tired, too busy, too distracted to spend an
hour once a week with their fellow Christians -- they are my best workers.
- Blessed are those Christians who wait to be asked and expect to be thanked
-- I can use them.
- Blessed are those who seek worldly pleasures instead of seeking the will
of God -- they are my missionaries.
- Blessed are the trouble makers -- they shall be called my children.
- Blessed are those who murmur and complain and have no joy they really make
my work easy.
- Blessed are those who are focused on the minister's mannerisms and
mistakes -- for they get nothing out of his sermons.
- Blessed is the church member who expects to be invited to his own church
-- for he is a part of the problem instead of the solution.
- Blessed are those who gossip -- for they shall cause strife and divisions
that please me.
- Blessed are those who are easily offended -- for they will soon get angry
and quit.
- Blessed are those who do not give their tithes or offering to carry on
God's work but will spend it selfishly on themselves -- for they are MY
helpers.
- Blessed is he who professes to love God but hates his brother and sister
-- for he shall be with me forever.
We often see billboards that read GOT MILK? I believe we as Christians should
make a billboard that reads GOT JESUS? If not, you need him and believe me that
is enough.
The Super bowl was coming. Every sinful person was praying to God and asking him
to let their team win. Well I have a comment about that and the comment is: Yes,
GOD hears your prayer but he doesn't care about the game. It's your soul he cares
about.

CHALLENGING THE LORD'S PRAYER
I cannot say OUR if I live only for myself.
I Cannot say FATHER if I do not endeavor each day to act like His child.
I cannot say WHO ART IN HEAVEN if I am laying up no treasure there.
I cannot say HALLOWED BE THY NAME if I am not striving for holiness.
I cannot say THY KINGDOM COME if I am not doing all in my power to hasten that
wonderful event.
I cannot say THY WILL BE DONE if I am disobedient to His word.
I cannot say ON EARTH AS IT IS IN HEAVEN if I will not serve Him here and now.
I cannot say GIVE US THIS DAY OUR DAILY BREAD if I am dishonest or seeking
things by subterfuge.
I cannot say FORGIVE US OUR TRESPASSES if I harbor a grudge against anyone.
I cannot say LEAD US NOT INTO TEMPTATION if I deliberately place myself in its
path.
I cannot say DELIVER US FROM EVIL if I do not put on the whole armor of God.
I cannot say THINE IS THE KINGDOM if I do not give the King the loyalty due him
from a faithful subject.
I cannot say THE POWER if I fear what others may do.
I cannot say THE GLORY if I am seeking honor only for myself.
I cannot say FOREVER if the horizon of my life is bounded by the things of
today.

WHAT IF...?
What if...?
God couldn't take the time to Bless us today because we could not take the time
to thank Him yesterday...
What if...?
God decided to stop leading us tomorrow because we didn't follow Him today...
What if...?
God didn't walk with us today because we failed to recognize it as His day...
What if....?
We never saw another flower bloom because we grumbled when God sent the rain...
What if...?
God stopped loving and caring for us because we failed to love and care for
others...
What if...?
God took away the Bible tomorrow, because we would not read it today...
What If...?
God took away his message because we failed to listen to His messenger...
What if...?
God didn't send His only begotten Son because He wanted us to prepared to pay
the price of sin...
What if...?
The door to the church was closed because we did not open the door of our
hearts...
What if...?
God would not hear us today because we would not listen to Him yesterday...
What if...?
God answered our prayers the way we answer His call to service...
What if...?
God met our needs the way we give Him our lives...
MY DRUG PROBLEM
a.. I had a "drug" problem when I was a young person and teenager...
b.. I was "drug" to church on Sunday morning.
c.. I was "drug" to church on Sunday night.
d.. I was "drug" to church on Wednesday night.
e.. I was "drug" to Sunday School every week.
f.. I was "drug" to Vacation Bible School.
g.. I was "drug" to the family altar to read the Bible and pray.
h.. I was also "drug" to the woodshed when I disobeyed my parents.
Those "drugs" are still in my veins; and they affect my behavior in every thing
I do, say, and think. They are stronger than cocaine, crack or heroin.
If our children had this "drug" problem, our country would certainly be a better
place.
Here are two quotes submitted by Joey Dean:
God is a like a book, we can see the cover, and we can hear the pages as they
turn, but until we actually read the book then we will truly know what the book
(God) is all about. We are also sometimes the only Bible people hear. - Joey
Dean
Satan is like a cobra. When Satan is around we know he is going to strike us no
matter what move we make. So instead of following Satan where we are destined to
hell, why don't we all just look up give our lives to Christ and take a step
back from Satan and know that we will be saved by Our Lord and Savior, Jesus
Christ. - Joey Dean

Things I learned from Noah's Ark.
- Don't miss the boat.
- Remember that we are all in the same boat.
- Plan ahead. It wasn't raining when Noah built the Ark.
- Stay fit. When you're 600 years old, someone may ask you to do something
really big.
- Don't listen to critics; just get on with the job that needs to be done.
- Build your future on high ground.
- For safety's sake travel in pairs.
- Speed isn't always an advantage. The snails were on board with the
cheetahs.
- When you're stressed, float a while.
- Remember, the Ark was built by amateurs; the Titanic by professionals.
- No matter the storm, when you are with God, there's always a rainbow
waiting.

A true missionary is not necessarily the one who goes to a foreign country;
but is one who can never grow accustomed to the thud of Christ-less feet on the
way to a lost eternity.
IT ALL DEPENDS ON THE HANDS
A basketball in my hands is worth about $19.
A basketball in Michael Jordan's hands is worth about $33 million.
It depends whose hands it's in.
A baseball in my hands is worth about $6.
A baseball in Roger Clemens' hands is worth $19 million.
It depends whose hands it's in.
A tennis racket is useless in my hands,
A tennis racket in Pete Sampras' hands is a Wimbledon Championship.
It depends whose hands it's in.
A rod in my hands will keep away a wild animal.
A rod in Moses' hands will part the mighty sea.
It depends whose hand it's in.
A sling shot in my hand is a kid's toy.
A sling shot in David's hand is a mighty weapon.
It depends whose hand it's in.
Two fish and 5 loaves of bread in my hands is a couple of fish sandwiches.
Two fish and 5 loaves of bread in God's Hands will feed thousands.
It depends whose hands it's in.
Nails in my hands might produce a birdhouse.
Nails in Jesus Christ's Hands will produce salvation for the entire world.
It depends whose hands it’s in.
As you see now, it depends whose hands it's in. So put your concerns, your
worries, your fears, your hopes, your dreams, your families and your
relationships in God's Hands because ---It depends whose hands it's in ---.
ROADS
So many roads,
so many paths,
so many oceans to navigate through...
Why do people choose the easiest?
The shortest?
The one most taken?
Why do they choose to BELONG to this world?
To live by it's rules?
To go by it's ways?
All to find out that at the end awaits only darkness, pain and even death.
Why?
If these roads are full of lies, sadness and defeat.
Why?
When there's a road less taken waiting to be run through, trampled over or
just walked through even if it's only by curiosity.
A road that brings life, love, happiness and shelter from the storm.
And though it may be a tough, trying road but it promises joy, forgiveness
and most importantly a Guide who will never leave us or betray us.
He leads us, loves us, and puts us in victory.
Even when we're so tired we can't go a step further He simply picks us up
and carries us until we get back on our feet.
And the best part...He leads us Home.

praise God for putting roses among thorns.
Sometimes we feel like we have let God down. When were we holding him up? Is
he not the one holding us up?

The Lord is my Shepherd...
THAT'S RELATIONSHIP!
I shall not want...
THAT'S SUPPLY!
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures...
THAT'S REST!
He leadeth me beside still waters...
THAT'S REFRESHMENT!
He restoreth my soul...
THAT'S HEALING!
He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness...
THAT'S GUIDANCE!
For His name sake...
THAT'S PURPOSE!
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death...
THAT'S CHALLENGE!
I will fear no evil...
THAT'S ASSURANCE!
For thou art with me...
THAT'S FAITHFULNESS!
Thy rod and thy staff they comfort me...

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life...
THAT'S BLESSING!
And I will dwell in the house of the Lord...

THAT'S ETERNITY!
Sometimes it takes seeing our blessings through the eyes of
someone else before we can grasp how truly blessed we really are.
Take time to think, it is the source of power;
Take time to play, it is the secret of perpetual youth;
Take time to read, it is the fountain of wisdom.
Take time to pray, it is the greatest power on earth.
Take time to be friendly, it is the road to happiness.
Take time to laugh, it is the music of the soul;
Take time to give, it is too short a day to be selfish.
Take time to work, it is the price of success.
Take time to do charity, it is the key to heaven.
Take time to love and be loved, it is a God given privilege.
As I look around, I see people just like myself, who are
always in a big hurry. I don't think we take enough time
for ourselvess, and our families. We race through life without enjoying it.
I am going to try to take more time for the important things in life. How
about you?

The Bible does not begin with, "Once upon a time".
Did you know...
1) Psalm 118 is the middle chapter of the entire Bible?
2) Before Psalm 118, Psalm 117 is the shortest chapter in the Bible?
3) After Psalm 118, Psalm 119 is the longest chapter in the Bible?
4) That there are 594 chapters each before and following Psalm 118?
5) That if you add up all the chapters except Psalm 118, you get a
total of 1188 chapters.
6) And incidentally, 1188 or Psalm 118 verse 8 also happens to be the
middle verse of the entire Bible.
The central verse should have a fairly important message don't you
think?
"It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in man."

If we take the problems of life and lay them down, they become
a path on which we can walk on through life. However if we stack
them up, they become a wall that closes us in from life.
THE BANQUET
The Word of God sustains and nourishes me.
It is pure and life-giving water that quenches my thirst, and yet I
thirst for more.
It is bread that satisfies and eases my hunger, and yet I hunger for more.
It is milk for my bones, the structure and foundation of my body. It
keeps me stable and helps me to stand.
It is plentiful produce, adding richness and color to my diet. It
improves my vision, and sharpens my senses.
It is the choicest of meat, filled with protein, giving me strength and
endurance to accomplish my tasks.
It is fish in abundance, food for thought, challenging my mind, helping
me to learn and to grow.
It is fine wine, enriching my blood, lifting my spirits and comforting my
sorrows.
It is a rich and delicious dessert. So sweet. So rewarding.
For so many years I was a spiritual anorexic. I starved myself, and did
not partake of this great banquet the Lord has prepared for me. But my
Father has called me back to His table once again. And now I can never get
too much.
May I ever hunger and thirst for my God. May I never refrain from the
Feast of His Word.

Oftentimes God demonstrates His faithfulness in adversity by providing
for us what we need to survive. He does not change our painful
circumstances. He sustains us through them.
If building God's church depended on me, would it ever get done?
HEARTPRINTS
Whatever our hands touch...
We leave fingerprints.
On walls,
On furniture,
On door knobs, dishes and books.
Smudges, showing we were there!
Oh Lord, please, wherever I go today...
Help me leave Heartprints.
Heartprints of compassion,
Understanding and love.
Heartprints of kindness
And genuine concern.
I shall go out today... to leave Heartprints...
And if someone should say,
"I felt your touch!"
May that one feeling be
Your loving touch,
Lord, through me!
May my heart touch...
My lonely neighbor, with a smile,
A worried mother, with peace,
A runaway child, with safety,
A homeless person, with warmth,
And my dear friends, with love.

TEENAGE BILL OF RIGHTS:
We the teens, in order to form a righteous generation, raise our voice
in one accord to set the direction for this generation...
When so many leaders of our society refuse to lead in truth,
When those who sell us goods do so solely for their own financial gain,
despite the toll their "goods" might take on us,
When those who have shaped our society often hold no moral compass
through which to guide us into the future,
When the majority with celebrity influence take no responsibility for
their position as role models and influencers,
When honesty and truth are scorned and manipulated by many of leaders in
high offices and integrity is regarded as weakness,
When character is mocked by the media and our leaders are afraid to take
a moral stand because it might be unpopular,
When rebellion is the norm and seen as a right to be demanded.
When corruption in society threatens the very foundation upon which it
was built.
It is necessary for us, as teens, to redefine our society and lay claim
to our right to bring truth to our generation.
We take it upon ourselves to rise up and call our generation to a higher
standard.
A standard:
not built by polls, but on principle,
not based on what feels good, but on what is good,
not built on what is cool, but on what is correct,
not built on what is convenient, but on character,
not based on what is easy, but on what is excellent,
not built on what is popular, but on what is prudent,
not built on what everyone else thinks, but on what God thinks,
not built on Hollywood, but on honor.
We, as a young generation, assert our right to set the pace for our own
generation. We refuse to be led by those who are morally bankrupt.
With this in mind, we commit to shape our society and world accordingly:
- We will live with Honor, making the most honorable decision, even
when we could try to justify less than honorable behavior.
- We will be Honest and tell the truth in matters large and small, even
when it is hard, and even when it hurts.
- We will take Responsibility for our actions and not look to
government, schools, or other authorities to justify our wrong
decisions. We will take responsibility for our mistakes.
- We will commit to have Families where both parents are present; our
word will be our bond at the altar.
- We will commit to love Purity. We will not be seduced by the world's
idea of sex and love. We will save our body and hearts for the one we
will marry.
- We will find the Purpose for that which we were created, so we can
live our lives to the fullest potential.
- We will see through the lie of Drugs and Alcohol, and refuse to let
any chemical influence our thinking and destroy our lives.
- We will Respect the authorities God has placed in our lives, even
though some may have character that we do not admire. We realize that
all authority comes from God. We refuse to subvert our parents or
other authority figures.
- We will work Relentlessly to ensure that Every Person in our
generation has the opportunity to hear about a relationship with God in
a way that they can understand.
- We will care about the rest of the world. We Refuse to be absorbed
with ourselves and our own comforts, but determine to find our place in
reaching the world.
In signing, we as young people, commit to life a life that exemplifies
these standards as we lead our generation to high moral ground.
As adults, we sign to express our commitment to stand with the youth as
they lead their generation to the highest standard of Honor.

Every Christian should have two planks in his platform; one is for what he will
stand for; and the other is for the things he will not stand for.
The shortest distance between a problem and a solution is the distance between
your knees and the floor. The one who kneels to the Lord can stand up to anything.
A Letter From Jesus:
Dear Friend,
I just had to send you a note to tell you how much I love you and care for you.
I saw you yesterday as you were talking to your friend. I waited all day hoping you
would want to talk with me. As evening came, I gave you a sunset to close your day
and a breeze to rest you and I waited. You never came. Sure, it hurts me, but I
still love you because I am your friend.
I saw you fall asleep last night and I longed to touch your face. Again I waited
wanting to rush down so we could talk. I have so many gifts for you. You got up late
and rushed off to work/school. My tears were in the rain.
Today you looked so sad - so all alone. It makes my heart ache because I understand.
My friends let me down many times too, but I love you.
If you would only listen to me! I love you! I try to tell you in the blue sky
and in the quiet green grass. I whisper it in the leaves, in the trees, and breathe
it in the colors of the flowers. I shout it to you in the mountain steams and give
the birds' love songs to sing. I clothe you with warm sunshine and sweeten the air
with nature scents.
My LOVE for you is deeper than the ocean and bigger than the biggest want
or need in your heart. If you would only knew how much I want to walk and talk
with you. I know how hard it is on Earth. I really know! And I want to help you.
I want you to meet my Father. He wants to help you too. My Father is that way you
know. Just call me - ask me - talk with me! Please don't forget me! I have so much
to share with you! Alright, okay, I won't bother you any more. You are free to
choose me. It's your decision. I have chosen you, and because of this I will
wait, and wait, and wait, because I love you.

Prayer is the opening of the heart to God as a friend. Not that it is necessary in
order to make known to God what we are, but in order to enable us to receive him.
Prayer does not bring God down to us, but brings us up to him.
Happiness Digest, P.44, Paragraph 2
FAITH IS...
... reliance on the certainty that God has a pattern for my life when everything seems
meaningless
... remembering I am God's priceless treasure when I feel utterly useless
... depending on the fact that God is Love - not on my ability to figure out the why's
in the midst of smashed hopes, reversal, and tragedy
... keeping on when I am dog tired, discouraged, disillusioned, deserted, dusty and dry
and I cast on His strength alone
... realizing that I am useful to God, not in spite of my scars, but because of them
... confidence that God is acting for my highest good when He answers "No" to my prayers
... accepting the truth that, in spite of the wreckage and grief I've caused, God who
has wiped the slate clean and delights in me
... recognizing that God is the Lord of time when my idea of timing doesn't agree with his
... not a vague hope of a happy here after but an assurance of Heaven based on my trust
in Christ's death as payment for my sins
... remembering that, though my way is dark as night to me, God can see and guides me
unerringly
... doing the right thing regardless of the consequences knowing God will turn the
ultimate effect to good
... the conviction the Promiser keeps His promises.

Study the Bible to be wise,
Believe it to be safe,
Practice it to be holy."
from "Our Daily Bread"
When God measures us, he puts the tape around the heart instead of the head.
Going to church doesn't make you a Christian any more than going to
McDonald's makes you a hamburger.
He who loses money, loses much;
He who loses a friend, loses much more;
He who loses faith, loses all.
Never let your head hang down, never sit and grieve; find another way.
And don't pray when it rains if you don't pray when the sun shines.
A small child and his father were looking heaven- ward one bright starlit night.
After quietly and reverently observing the stars for a long time, the small boy,
holding his father's hand, said, "If the bottom side of heaven is this pretty,
then how beautiful the other side must be!"
I Cannot Pray
I cannot pray "OUR", if my faith has no room for Others and their need.
I cannot pray "FATHER", if I do not demonstrate this relationship to God in my daily living.
I cannot pray "WHO ART IN HEAVEN", if all of my interests and pursuits are in earthly things.
I cannot pray "HALLOWED BE THY NAME", if I am not striving for God's help to be holy.
I cannot pray "THY KINGDOM COME", if I am unwilling to accept God's rule in my life.
I cannot pray "THY WILL BE DONE", if I am unwilling or resentful of having it in my life.
I cannot pray "IN EARTH AS IT IS IN HEAVEN", unless I am truly ready to give myself to
God's service here and now.
I cannot pray "GIVE US THIS DAY OUR DAILY BREAD", without expending honest effort for
it or if I would withhold from my neighbor the bread I receive.
I cannot pray "FORGIVE US OUR TRESPASSES AS WE FORGIVE THOSE WHO TRESPASS AGAINST US",
if I continue to harbor a grudge against anyone.
I cannot pray "LEAD US NOT INTO TEMPTATION", if I deliberately choose to remain in a
situation where I am likely to be tempted.
I cannot pray "DELIVER US FROM EVIL", if I am not prepared to fight with my life and my prayer.
I cannot pray "THINE IS THE KINGDOM", if I am unwilling to obey the King.
I cannot pray "THINE IS THE POWER AND THE GLORY", if I am seeking power for myself and
my own glory first.
I cannot pray "FOREVER AND EVER", if I am too anxious about each day's affairs.
I cannot pray "AMEN", unless I honestly say "Not MY will, but THY will be done", so let it be.

This story is from "God's Little Devotional Bible for Women". It reads as follows:
PRAYING FINGERS
Many children learn to count on their fingers, but a nurse once taught a child to pray "on his fingers."
This was her method:
Your thumb is the digit nearest to your heart, so pray first for those who are closest to you. Your own
needs, of course, should be included as well as those of your beloved family and friends.
The second finger is the one used for pointing. Pray for those who point you toward the truth, whether
at church or school. Pray for your teachers, mentors, pastors, and those who inspire your faith.
The third finger is the tallest. Let it stand for the leaders in every sphere of life. Pray for those in
authority -- both within the body of Christ and those who hold office in various areas of government.
The fourth finger is the weakest, as every pianist knows. Let it stand for those who are in trouble
and pain -- the sick, injured, abused, wounded, or hurt.
The little finger is the smallest. Let it stand for those who often go unnoticed, including those who
suffer abuse and deprivation. What a great tool to use in teaching children how to pray for themselves and others.
What a simple and wonderful reminder to use as we pray ourselves.
God Can
When you feel unlovable, unworthy and unclean, when you think that no one can heal you
Remember, Friend,
God Can.
When you think that you are unforgivable for your guilt and your shame
Remember, Friend,
God Can.
When you think that all is hidden and no one can see within
Remember, Friend,
God Can.
And when you have reached the bottom and you think that no one can hear
Remember my dear Friend,
God Can.
And when you think that no one can love the real person deep inside of you
Remember my dear Friend,
God Does.

"We must remind mothers who choose to care for their own children that doing so does not put them in a "servile
and dangerous state," as the feminists claim. Instead, motherhood is a sacred trust from God."
Chuck Colson [Breakpoint May 7, 1999]
When You Thought I Wasn't Looking
When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw you hang my first painting on the refrigerator, and I wanted to paint another one.
When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw you feed a stray cat, and I thought it was good to be kind to animals.
When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw you make my favorite cake for me, and I knew that little things are special things.
When you thought I wasn't looking, I heard you pray, and I believed there is a God I could always talk to.
When you thought I wasn't looking, I felt you kiss me good night, and I felt loved.
When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw tears come from your eyes, and I learned that sometimes things hurt, but it's all right to cry.
When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw you give to someone needy and I learned the joy of giving.
When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw you always did your best and it made me want to be all that I could be.
When you thought I wasn't looking, I heard you say "thank you" and I wanted to say thanks for all the things I saw when you
thought I wasn't looking.

The following Beatitudes were printed on special paper and handed out at a church
Open House by our Friendship Club which is a ministry to our mentally and physically challenged friends:
BEATITUDES FOR SPECIAL PEOPLE
BLESSED
ARE YOU who take time to listen to difficult speech, for you help us
to know that if we persevere we can be understood.
BLESSED ARE YOU who walk with us in public places, and
ignore the stares of strangers, for in your friendship we feel good to be ourselves.
BLESSED ARE YOU who never bid us to "hurry up" and, more
blessed, you who do not snatch our tasks from our hands to do them for us, for often we need
time rather than help.
BLESSED ARE YOU who stand beside us as we enter new and untried
ventures, for our unsureness will be outweighed by the times when we surprise ourselves and you.
BLESSED ARE YOU who ask for our help and realize our giftedness,
for our greatest need is to be needed.
BLESSED ARE YOU who help us with the graciousness of Christ, for
often we need the help we cannot ask for.
BLESSED ARE YOU when, by all things, you assure us that what makes
us individuals is not our particular disability or difficulty but our beautiful God-given personhood which
no handicapping condition can confine.
REJOICE AND BE EXCEEDINGLY GLAD for your understanding
and love have opened doors for us to enjoy life to its full and you have helped us believe in ourselves
as valued and gifted people.
Sorrow looks back...
Worry looks around...
But, faith looks up.

Feeling far from God? Guess who moved?
HE IS THE REASON
His arrival was eagerly anticipated, but not just by children.
He came on Christmas Day, but not down the chimney.
He worked in a wood shop, but not making toys.
He had a beard, but it was not white.
He had some helpers, but they were not elves.
He did a miracle, but not on 34th Street.
He rode into town, but not in a sleigh.
He carried a lot of weight, but He was not heavy.
He hung on a tree, but not as an ornament.
He disappeared into the clouds, but not to the North Pole.
His return is eagerly anticipated, but not predictable.
He is Jesus.
So every year at Christmas time
let the traditions become a sign
to point us back so long ago
when God came to earth for the world to know.
Someone once asked Billy Graham, "If Christianity is valid, why is there so much evil
in the world?" To this the famous preacher replied, "With so much soap, why are there
so many dirty people in the world? Christianity, like soap, must be personally
applied if it is to make a difference in our lives."
GOALS I'VE SET FOR MY CHILDREN
- To have joyful confidence of a saving relationship with Jesus
Christ.
- To please God before self or others.
- To know God's word and trust it completely.
- To please others before self.
- To do the hard thing before the fun thing.
- To have happy marriages, or to be happily unmarried.
- To show compassion to people in need.
- To be educated concerning your heritage and your present context.
- To develop skills and competencies for your own delight and to pass on
to others
- To show good cheer.
- To be satisfied with simple delights.
- To manage money well - whether a little or a lot.
There is a story of a man who was walking down the street. He paused
at a used book store, and in the window he saw a book with the title,
How to Hug. He was taken by the title and, being somewhat of a romantic
nature, went in to buy the book. To his chagrin, he discovered it was
the seventh volume of an encyclopedia and covered the subjects "How"
to "Hug".
Everyone knows that the church is a place where love ought to be
manifested, and many people have come to church hoping to find a
demonstration of love - only to discover an encyclopedia on theology.
In 1728, potatoes were outlawed in Scotland because they were not
mentioned in the Bible.
Let your minister be who he is - real. Let him be! Give him the latitude
you want for yourself. Give him the same amount of room the grace of God
affords you. Don't force him into some traditionalistic mold.
Rise and Shine, PP. 235-36
The Women who appear in Scripture are competent, secure, qualified people
who had responsible roles to fill.
Taken from Stress Fractures, P. 141
A woman who fears the Lord is to be praised. Give her the reward she has earned, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.
Proverbs 31:30,31 NIV
There are only two ways you can study the Bible:
1. Studying it with your mind made up.
2. Studying it to let it make up your mind.
Givers can be divided into three types: the flint, the sponge and the
honeycomb. Some givers are like a piece of flint - to get anything
out of it you must hammer it, and even then you only get chips and
sparks. Other are like a sponge - to get anything out of a sponge
you must squeeze it and squeeze it hard, because the more you
squeeze a sponge, the more you get. But others are like a honeycomb
- which just overflows with its own sweetness. That is how God gives
to us, and it is how we should give in turn.
